Desktop for YT
A native YouTube app for Mac.
Open to youtube.com. Ads and Shorts stay off until you turn them back on. Float a desk window, or leave it in system Picture in Picture.

Home, Search, and your subscriptions are already there. We wrap them in a Mac window — title bar, desk, Picture in Picture. Sign in on the page. There is no second library.
Stay on the desk.
When you need the screen back, the main window steps aside. A small always-on-top window keeps the video. Nudge opacity. Snap a corner. Or hand it to system Picture in Picture when you leave.
Quiet by default.
Ads and Shorts are off. Turn either back on from the title bar. Skip in-video sponsor segments from Settings — on by default, yours to disable. The store title is a Mac YouTube app, not an ad blocker.
Open from the browser.
An optional Chromium companion sends a watch, playlist, or Shorts link here when you ask. Auto-forward stays off. Home and search stay in the browser.
